The Iron Cactus is an authentic Mexican restaurant located in SOMA, our mission is simple but revolutionary; To offer a simple, inexpensive menu of delicious and creative dishes cooked to perfection daily with the best seasonal ingredients available. We use naturally raised hormone free ingredients and where possible source locally. Our customers can taste the difference right away in the full flavor of our char grilled steak tacos, rotisserie roasted chicken and tasty burritos assembled right in front of you in a fresh-made corn tortilla. Much of the interior of our restaurant is recycled wood from the original Gilt Edge Creamery that occupied the space for the previous 50 years. The tall barrel shaped ceilings with exposed wood, the faux finished walls with exposed concrete and corrugated iron panels give the restaurant a real authentic canteena feel. We invite you to come and enjoy a unique Mexican flavor in a friendly hip atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating for 100 people.
